FDC receives Certificate of Appreciation Patents award from Pharmexcil

The award was presented by the Hon'able Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on 30 th September 2011 at Hyderabad . FDC receives approval (Marketing Authorization) for Dorzolamide 2% w/v Eye Drop Solution and Dorzolamide 2% w/v & Timolol Maleate 0.5% w/v Eye Drop Solution from UKMHRA (RMS) under Decentralised Procedure.

Dorzolamide a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor is used as a topical medication in the treatment of glaucoma.

The combination product additionally has Timolol Maleate which is a non selective beta blocker, used for the topical treatment of increased intra-ocular pressure in patients with chronic open angle glaucoma. This product is used for the patients who are insufficiently responsive to beta blocker therapy.
